Privacy Policy

Effective dateOctober 02, 2026

Bluepixel Technologies LLP ("Bluepixel," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting information processed through the NFC Scanner application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App may access, how it is used to provide requested features, what is temporarily processed, what is not retained, and the choices available to you.

1About NFC Scanner

NFC Scanner is a utility application available for compatible Android and iOS devices. It enables users to read, inspect, write, copy, format, protect, and manage compatible NFC tags and supported contactless technologies.

  • Read NDEF records and available tag information.
  • Inspect technical tag information and supported raw memory.
  • Write text, URLs, Wi-Fi, contacts, email, SMS, location, social, cryptocurrency, Bluetooth and other supported records.
  • Create temporary user profiles and payloads for NFC writing.
  • Copy compatible tag data, erase or format supported tags, and use supported security functions.
  • Scan QR codes and transfer supported information into NFC records.
  • Maintain locally available history or reusable profiles only where those features are actually enabled in the App.

2Privacy by Design

Bluepixel follows a privacy-focused approach to user-entered information. Information entered while creating a user profile, contact card, Wi-Fi record, medical/emergency record, social profile, or other NFC payload is provided by the user solely to generate or process the requested NFC content.

Such personal information is treated as temporary application data for the requested operation. Bluepixel does not use that information for unrelated purposes and does not intentionally retain the personal information entered for temporary profile creation after the relevant operation or session, except where retention is technically required by a feature that the user explicitly chooses to use or where retention is required by law.

Bluepixel does not sell, rent, or trade users' personal information.

3Information the App May Process

3.1NFC and Tag Information

When you scan an NFC tag, the App may temporarily process information available from the tag, including UID or serial identifier where accessible, NFC technology/type, NDEF records, memory/capacity information, manufacturer or chip information where available, ATQA, SAK, raw memory/page information, protocol information, and other data exposed by the tag.

3.2User-Entered Personal Information

Depending on the feature selected, you may enter names, telephone numbers, email addresses, addresses, coordinates, social-profile links, Wi-Fi credentials, SMS/email text, emergency contacts, medical information, cryptocurrency wallet addresses, Bluetooth-related information, custom text, or other payload data.

This information is used only to provide the feature you requested. Bluepixel does not use temporary profile information for advertising, profiling, sale, marketing, or unrelated commercial purposes.

3.3Camera and QR Codes

If you use QR Code to NFC, the App may request camera permission and temporarily process information encoded in the QR code so that it can be displayed, converted, or written to an NFC tag as requested.

4What We Do Not Do With Temporary Account Profile Data

  • We do not sell or rent temporary profile information.
  • We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
  • We do not use it for unrelated marketing.
  • We do not intentionally retain temporary profile information after the relevant operation or session.
  • We do not use temporary profile information for purposes unrelated to providing the requested App functionality.

5Local Processing

NFC reading, writing, tag inspection, and temporary payload generation are designed to be performed on the user's device where technically possible. Bluepixel does not require users to upload NFC contents to a Bluepixel server merely to perform ordinary NFC scanning or writing.

Android and iOS operating systems may independently process information as part of their platform functionality. Third-party SDKs or services, if included in a particular App version, may also process limited technical information according to their applicable policies.

6Sensitive Information

Some NFC payloads may contain sensitive information, including Wi-Fi passwords, medical information, emergency contacts, personal contact details, authentication-related information, or cryptocurrency wallet addresses. Users should avoid storing highly confidential secrets such as private keys, seed phrases, banking credentials, or account passwords on physical NFC tags.

7Wi-Fi Credentials

If you create a Wi-Fi NFC record, the App may temporarily process the SSID, security type, and password to generate the requested record. You are responsible for protecting the physical NFC tag because compatible devices may be able to read information stored on it.

8History, Profiles and Exports

Where the App provides history, reusable profiles, or export functionality, information may be retained locally only as necessary to provide the feature selected by the user. If a feature allows the user to save information, that saved information may remain on the device until the user deletes it, subject to platform storage and backup behavior.

9Third-Party Services and Platforms

The App operates on Android and iOS and may use platform services such as Android NFC APIs, Android camera capabilities, Apple's Core NFC, camera frameworks, App Store/Google Play services, and other technologies necessary for requested functionality. Those platforms and providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

10Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the App's intended operation. However, no software, device, storage method, or electronic communication can be guaranteed completely secure. Physical NFC tags can be accessed by others if they are not appropriately protected.

11Data Retention

Bluepixel does not intentionally retain personal information entered solely for temporary profile creation after the requested operation or session, except where the user explicitly chooses a feature that saves information locally or where retention is required by law. Data written to an NFC tag remains on that physical tag until it is changed, erased, overwritten, or otherwise modified.

12User Responsibilities

  • Use NFC tags and data only with appropriate authorization.
  • Ensure information written to tags is accurate and lawful.
  • Protect physical tags containing confidential information.
  • Protect exported files and any locally saved information.
  • Do not enter private keys, passwords, or other secrets unless you understand the risks.

13Children's Privacy

NFC Scanner is not specifically directed toward children. We do not knowingly seek to collect children's personal information through the App.

14Your Choices

  • Grant or deny NFC and camera permissions through your device settings.
  • Choose what information to enter and what information to write to a tag.
  • Delete available locally saved history or profiles where such controls are provided.
  • Delete exported files.
  • Stop using and uninstall the App.

15Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, technology, legal requirements, or privacy practices change. The Effective Date identifies the current version.
